FOR THE YOUNG CAPTAIN AWARD 2025
Young Captain Nederland focuses on the next generation of top-level executives. Participants are expected to demonstrate an open mindset, a strong capacity for self-learning, and a solid foundation of self-reflection. They look beyond the boundaries of their own organization, possess an international outlook, and hold a clear societal vision. These are individuals in whom their organizations place great trust—leaders already recognized as the decision-makers of tomorrow.
Eligibility Criteria:
Company Profile
- Dutch companies or companies with Dutch origins and an annual revenue of approximately €250 million or more.
- International enterprises with a clear and substantial presence in the Netherlands.
- Growth companies that are demonstrably on track to reach this revenue threshold and have the potential to do so in the near future.
- Influential family-owned businesses with a leading position in their market.
Each organization may nominate one candidate. We welcome nominations from organizations that see this as an opportunity to strengthen talent development within their company and across their sector.
Participation in the Young Captain Program and the Young Captain Award is free of charge.
Participant Profile
- You have proven leadership experience and currently lead a significant business unit, subsidiary, or geographic region.
- You are experienced in working within international contexts and feel comfortable in culturally diverse environments. You think and act with a global mindset.
- You interact directly with top management and contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making within your organization.
- You closely follow technological and digital developments and understand their impact on operations, customer behavior, and business strategy.
- You are socially engaged and actively contribute to society—either through your work or personal initiatives.
- You are between 33 and 39 years old and have already built solid experience as a leader in your field.
- You are familiar with the Dutch language, culture, and societal context.
