Stichting Young Captain Nederland
The Stichting Young Captain Nederland
The Young Captain Award, the Young Captains Programme and the Young Bilderberg Conference are initiatives of Stichting Young Captain Nederland. The aim of the foundation is to bring talented young leaders who promise to be the next generation of business managers to the attention of the public at large, and to offer them space and opportunities to develop themselves to the maximum.
The Foundation does this from the conviction that The Netherlands is crying out for ambitious, future-oriented young people. Innovators, with the courage and strength to explore uncharted territory. With the Young Captain Award, the Young Captains Programme and the Young Bilderberg Conference, the Foundation would like to create a culture in which this talent is seen and appreciated. The men and women show that they represent the promise of the future generation of captains of industry to be an example for others. The directors of the newspaper de Telegraaf, Interlace Executive Search and the Bilderberg hotel group planted the seed for the Stichting Young Captain in 2004. KPMG and ABN AMRO were immediately enthusiastic and joined in. The Foundation made the first Young Captain Award in 2005. The first Young Bilderberg Conference was also held in that year. Since then, the Foundation has been able to garner the support of a growing number of respected and proven knowledge partners from the world of business. Together, they form a solid basis for the initiatives of the coming years.
